Capturing the spirit and beauty of animals through custom portraits and original artworks
Emma Llewelyn is an art teacher and artist living in the Southern Highlands. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts she went on to specialise in animal and wildlife art, particularly horses. She creates realistic artworks from photos, capturing the essence and personality of the subject. Emma mainly works in graphite and soft pastel. She also likes working with rural scenes, capturing farm life and the Aussie spirit of the land.
Emma has had several exhibitions, and won many awards at various agricultural shows. She has been accepted as a finalist in the Sydney Royal Easter Show. She has also had a feature article in the Australian Brumby Magazine, and sponsored several equestrian competitions and shows.
Emma's love of animals extends off the paper, with quite a menagerie of her own. She has three beautiful cats, a Ragdoll, Maine coon and Bengal. She also has two German Shepherds, and a stockhorse called Shadow. Together her and Shadow ride the forests and trails, and compete in Team Sorting. Her love of animals enables her to capture them so uniquely in her artwork.
